Alma Boys Lose First Round of RPAC

The Alma boys struggled to get started in the opening RPAC game against Bertrand.  Bertrand outscored Alma 19-8.  Alma was led in scoring by David Ehrke with one 3 point basket and Cooper Wright with one 2 point basket and 1 of 2 from the free throw line.  Myles McTee added one 2 point basket.

Alma shooters came back in the 2nd quarter to outscore Bertrand 14-10.  The scoring was very balanced for the Cardinals with three players scoring 4 points.  Ty Heft was 1 of 3 from the line and had one 3 pointer.  Burker Boehler had two 2 pointers and was 0 of 2 from the line.  David Ehrke was 1 of 2 from the line and had one 3 pointer.  Also scoring for the Cardinals was Cooper Wright who was 2 of 2 from the free throw line.  Alma went to the locker room down 22-29.
Alma came out hot in the third quarter outscoring Bertrand again 12-11.  Alma was led in scoring y David Ehrke with one 3 pointer and one 2 pointer.  Cooper Wright added two more baskets for 4 points.  Burke Boehler had one 3 pointer.  The score at the end of the quarter was 40-34.
Alma’s fourth quarter balanced scoring was unable to overcome the first quarter deficit.  Alma put up 11 points to Bertrand’s 16.  David Ehrke led the scoring with one 3 pointer.  This was followed by Ty Heft, Burke Boehler, Hunter Dahlgren, and Cooper Wright with one basket each.  This made the final score 56-45 with Alma losing to Bertrand.
