Cervera Throws No-Hitter As SVA Saints Varsity Triumphs Over Minden
Abby Cevera was brilliant in the circle on Saturday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead SVA Saints Varsity past Minden 14-0.
SVA Saints Varsity secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the first inning. SVA Saints Varsity’s offense in the inning came from walks by Janessa Kring, Cevera, and Kynlee Marquez, singles by Kyuana Krig and Kortnie Lenneman, a triple by PJ Dubbs, a groundout by Marquez, and a double by Dubbs.
Cervera earned the victory on the rubber for SVA Saints Varsity. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six.
Bria Rodgers took the loss for Minden. She surrendered 14 runs on four hits over one inning, striking out one.
Dubbs went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead SVA Saints Varsity in hits. SVA Saints Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Dubbs had three chances in the field, the most on the team

Game 2
SVA Saints Varsity Grabs Lead In Fourth Inning For Victory Over St. Paul
SVA Saints Varsity took the lead late and defeated St. Paul 10-4 on Saturday. The game was tied at two with SVA Saints Varsity batting in the bottom of the fourth when Kynlee Marquez doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Marquez led SVA Saints Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate.Marquez drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a single in the fifth
St. Paul got things started in the first inning. Sydney Wells singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
SVA Saints Varsity pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Wells induced Kortnie Lenneman to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored and Gracie Harris homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.
Marquez led the SVA Saints Varsity to victory in the pitcher’s circle. She lasted six innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out eight.
Wells took the loss for St. Paul. She surrendered ten runs on 15 hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
SVA Saints Varsity launched two home runs on the day. Abby Cervera had a long ball in the third inning. Harris went yard in the fourth inning.
SVA Saints Varsity totaled 15 hits. Haley Witte, Marquez, Cervera, and Harris each collected multiple hits for SVA Saints Varsity. Witte went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead SVA Saints Varsity in hits.

Game 3
Four RBI Day For Abby Cervera Leads SVA Saints Varsity Past Gothenburg
Abby Cervera showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in four on two hits to lead SVA Saints Varsity past Gothenburg 11-4 on Saturday. Cervera drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the second, and a fielder’s choice in the sixth.
SVA Saints Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Cervera drove in one when she singled.
SVA Saints Varsity tallied four runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Cervera and a double by PJ Dubbs.
Kynlee Marquez led the SVA Saints Varsity to victory in the pitcher’s circle. She went six innings, allowing four runs on one hit and striking out five.
B Coulter took the loss for Gothenburg. She went six innings, allowing 11 runs on seven hits and striking out five.
SVA Saints Varsity socked one home run on the day. Marquez had a long ball in the first inning.
