Alma Girls Basketball Team Falls Short Against Cambridge

The Alma Girls Basketball team played the Cambridge Trojans on Friday, February 10. The girls fell short with a final score 39-62. Kaitlyn Harrison lead the team in points scoring 13 points, followed by Dakota Hughes with 8. Harrison also lead the team in rebounds with 14 rebounds, followed by Natalie Hock with 5. Alma struggled to defend the paint but handled the Cambridge pressure well and had 5 blocked shots. The Cardinals held Shaner to 11 points whom normally scores more 20 points.  Alma did shoot 50% from the free throw line and Kayla Kindler had two three-pointers.  The Alma girls will play their next game in Holdrege against Franklin on Tuesday in subdistricts.
