Alma Lady Cardinals Cold Shooting Propels Bertrand to Win

Alma and Bertrand girls basketball team started the game trading shots.  

Kortnie Lennemann and Dakota Hughes went 1-2 from the free throw line. Kayla Kindler and Tiffany Wells both had 2 points in the first quarter.  The score at the end of the first quarter was 6-8. 

Both teams fought hard in the second quarter. Starting with Abby Fox, who scored 5 points, followed by Carlee Stuhmer and Kayla Kindler who both scored 2 points. Together they scored 15 points in the first half. The score at the end of the first half was 15-18 Bertrand lead.

The Alma Lady Cardinals only scored 7  points in the third quarter. Abby Cervera had 5 points, followed by Kayla Kindler who scored 2 points giving them 22 points for the third quarter. Unfortunately, Bertrand scored 11 points for the fourth quarter giving them the 7 point lead.

In the start of the fourth quarter, The Alma Lady Cardinals struggled to score. Dakota Hughes had 4 points. Kayla Kindler went 2-6 from the free throw line, this gave them 6 points for the final quarter. The Bertrand Girls Basketball kept firing their shots and made 12 points for the final quarter. The final score was 28-41 with a win for the Bertrand Girls Basketball team.
