Alma Volleyball Dominates at the State Fair

The Alma Volleyball team competed in the Bill Marshall Classic on Friday August 25.   This is the first time the volleyball team has gotten to compete in this classic.  The Cardinals played two games one at 5:00 against Sandhills Thedford and the other at 7:30 against Heartland Lutheran.

In the Sandhills Thedford game Jadyn Heckenlively threw down 8 kills. Abby Waldo served up four ace serves for the cardinals. Tiffany Wells had seven digs. Abby Waldo and Maddie Brugh had a combined seventeen assists. The cardinals beat The Knights in two sets 25-20 and 25-21.

For the second game the girls took on Heartland Lutheran agin winning in two sets 25-20 and 25-21. Heckenlively had 9 kills followed by Maddie Brugh with 7 kills. Heckenlively also had two blocks for the game.

The Cardinals will be back in action Thursday August 31st in the A-B-C triangular with Bertrand and Cambridge in Alma.
