Cardinals Fluster the Flyers

After watching a thrilling triple-overtime matchup between the Overton Eagles and the Elm Creek Buffaloes. The lady Cardinals took the court to take on the Franklin Flyers. Unlike the game before the Cardinals took an early lead and led the whole game. The Cardinals had a 22-15 lead heading into the locker room at the half. The Cardinals continued to fight and went on to beat the Flyers 48-28. Kaitlyn Harrison led in scoring with 16 points. Dakota Hughes, Maddie Brugh, Kayla Kindler, Tiffany Wells, and Natalie Hock all contributed points in the Cardinal victory. Kindler and Harrison also pulled down seven rebounds apiece. Dakota Hughes also had five steals. With the win, the girls advance to the subdistrict final Thursday at seven o clock in Holdrege against the number one seed Elm Creek Buffaloes.
