Cardinals Pluck the Eagles Hopes of a Semifinal Game

The Lady Cardinals traveled to Med Valley high school on Monday to take on the Southern Valley Eagles in the quarterfinal match up. The Cardinals came out aggressive getting an impressive 6-0 lead before Senior Tia Norman knocked down both her free throws to get Southern Valley on the board. The Cardinals kept the momentum with a 34-23 lead heading into half. Southern Valley came out ready to play outscoring the Cardinals in both the third and fourth quarters but the momentum was still in the Cardinals hands as they went on to win 50-48.  With the win the Cardinals will advance to play in the semifinals at Southern Valley high school. Kayla Kindler led the Cardinals in scoring with 12 points. Followed closely by Madalyn Brugh and Tiffany Wells with 10 points each. Kaitlyn Harrison pulled down nine rebounds for the Cardinals.
