Cardinals Take Tough Loss to the Wolves

Starting off the first quarter, Ty Heft scored a bucket for two down low followed by Burke Boehler for two also.  This put the first 4 points on the board for the Cardinals.   David Ehrke was two for two on free throws. Cooper Wright scored two more points down low. This ended the quarter with Alma trailing with a score of  8-24.

In the second quarter, Burke Boehler scored two points and shot one for two on free throws.  Ty heft had two points and shot 100 percent from the free throw line.  Myles McTee also scored a field goal later in the second quarter. Cooper Wright was two for two on his free throws as well. David Ehrke scored six points for the Cardinals in the second quarter followed by one of two free throws.  The Cardinals ended the second quarter scoring 19 points overall. The Cardinals went into the half down 27-46.

In the third,  Cooper Wright shot and made one of two free throws and scored a basket from the block. David Ehrke had a three-pointer and scored a basket down low as well. This ended the quarter with a score of 35-69.  Alma had only 8 points in this quarter.

In the final quarter, David Ehrke was two for two on his free throws and he shot and made two three-pointers. Antonio Hudson added two for two from the free throws line. David Ehrke scored four points down low in the fourth.  This ended the scoring for the Cardinals with 10 points for the quarter.  The final score of 49-75 in favor of the Wolves.

The Cardinals hope to recover from this loss and put it behind them to get ready for the first RPAC game this Saturday at 4:15 against Bertrand in Cambridge.
