Junior High Volleyball Captures Win Over Arapahoe

The Alma Junior High volleyball team, now 3-1 on the year, recently defeated the Arapahoe Warriors at home, winning two sets to none (25-23, 25-12). The Alma B team also won their game in a sweep (25-14, 25-19) and the C team was also victorious (15-9). Leading the team in kills was Carlee Stuhmer with 4, followed by Karri Christensen with 2, and Michelle Lujan with 1. Leading the team in serving was Abigail Fox with 12 service points and 4 aces. Michelle Lujan & Maddie Ehrke had 3 aces, Haylee Wing and Teagan White added 2 aces. The B Team was led in serving by Abigail Fox and Jessica Pfeil. Fox served the first 16 points of the B game, and Pfeil had 3 aces. “Madison Wolfe, Tessa Bach, Kendall Stemper, Alexis Wolfe, Kaylee Baker, Nakayla Hock all played extremely well, and contributed to the victory with great passing and serving. As coaches, we continue to stress serving and passing skills that are consistently above average. Overall, the girls did a great job with serve receive, and played bump, set, spike volleyball effectively. We look to serve and hit more aggressively as the season goes on.”

Our next game is against Bertrand at 2:30 this next Monday. We also have the Bertrand Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, October 29. Come and support the girls and the successful season they are having.
