Asian Music Rainstorm

The 1st graders have been learning about Asian music. A lot of the music we studied had to do with nature. View the 1st grade’s rainstorm project, including the very cool thunder drum, below!


What A Wonderful Jazzy World

The 1st graders have been studying jazz in music class; identifying jazz instruments and listening to jazz composers. We listened to Louis Armstrong sing “What A Wonderful World.” Both 1st grade classes colored their own Wonderful World pictures to go along with this famous song. View their video below.

What A Wonderful World 2015-2016

Once again, the first graders studied jazz music. In this unit, we study scat singing, jazz instrument families, and legendary jazz singing, Louis Armstrong. They each colored a page that corresponds to his famous song, “What A Wonderful World.” Please enjoy their video below.
