SVA Saints Makes Double Win During Stamford Triangular

During game 1, The SVA Saints Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to a 13-3 victory over Minden on Monday. SVA Saints Varsity scored on a passed ball during PJ Dubbs’s at bat, a double by Haley Witte, a home run by Emma Joppa, a double by Nakayla Hock, a double by Kaylee Baker, a double by Kynlee Marquez, a fielder’s choice by Gracie Harris, and a single by Witte in the first inning.
SVA Saints Varsity secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the first inning. Dubbs, Witte, Joppa, Hock, Baker, and Marquez all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Marquez led SVA Saints Varsity to victory by driving in six runs. She went 2-for-4 at the plate. Marquez drove in runs on a home run in the third and a grand slam in the fifth.

A double by M Hein in the fourth inning was a positive for Holdrege.

Hein took the loss for Holdrege. She lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 hits and eight runs while striking out two.
