It came down to the wire on Friday, with SVA Saints Varsity taking victory on a dramatic walk-off error in the late innings that sealed their victory over Alliance. The game was tied at one with SVA Saints Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for SVA Saints Varsity. Kynlee Marquez Drives In Six To SVA Saints Varsity Victory Over Gothenburg

Kynlee Marquez would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Friday, driving in six on three hits to lead SVA Saints Varsity past Gothenburg 11-8 on Friday. Marquez drove in runs on a triple in the first, a home run in the second, and a home run in the fourth. There was plenty of action on the base paths as SVA Saints Varsity collected 11 hits and Gothenburg had seven.

SVA Saints Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Abby Cervera drove in one when she singled. Gothenburg scored four runs in the fourth inning. Gothenburg tallied seven hits. Bliven and Kleinknecht each collected multiple hits for Gothenburg.
