SVA Saints Take On Minden

On September 6th the SVA Saints played softball in Minden. Two SVA Saints Varsity Pitchers Combine To Defeat Minden In Shutout Game. SVA Saints Varsity defeated Minden 18-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kynlee Marquez struck out Alivia Anderson to finish off the game. Marquez led SVA Saints Varsity to victory by driving in five runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate. Marquez drove in runs on a triple in the first and a home run in the second. SVA Saints Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Janessa Kring hit a solo homer. A single by Anderson in the first inning was a positive for Minden. Abby Cervera led the SVA Saints Varsity to victory in the circle. She surrendered zero runs on two hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking zero. Marquez threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Marquez recorded the last four outs to earn the save for SVA Saints VarsityBailee Schurmann took the loss for Minden.
