Alma went to Axtell Saturday, August 30th to play against Lawrence-Nelson for their first game in the tournament. They took home the win in two sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-19. Carlee Stuhmer led the team with the most kills of 10. Addison Neal had the highest number of aces with 12 and Miley Whitney helped the team with 23 assists.
The second game of the Axtell tournament was played against Loomis. The Cardinals won both sets with the scores 25-15 and 25-11. On the defensive side Miley Whitney and Jessica Pfeil had the highest amount of digs. As well as Carlee Stuhmer and Addison Neal with the most serve receptions of 10 and 9.
In the final game, the Cardinals advanced up in the bracket and faced off against Axtell. Alma won a 2 set game. The first set was 25-12 and the second set went to 25-19. Carlee Stuhmer had the most kills of 9 and Addison Siebels right behind her with a total of 7. Alma won the tournament going 3-0.
