The Lady Cardinals played a tough home game against the Amherst Broncos this Tuesday, January 11th.
The girls started off steady with Kaylee Baker making a two-pointer. Riley ended the first quarter with a three-pointer, leaving the lady cardinals with 5 points for the first quarter, and the Amherst Broncos with 14 points.
The girls picked up their pace in the second quarter, Addison Neal leading the team with 2 three-pointers and a two-pointer, and Carlee Stuhmer and Riley Scott both made a three-pointer. This left the Lady Cardinals with 19 points at the end of the first half, and the Amherst Broncos with 20.
The Cardinals started to fall behind in the third quarter with Riley Scott making five points including making both of her free throws, and Addison Neal making one of her two free throws. This left the score at the end of the third quarter at 25 points for the Cardinals and the Amherst Broncos with 37 points.
The Cards came back strong for the fourth quarter with Riley Scott making 5 points, Carlee Stuhmer and Addison Neal making three-pointers, and Kaylee Baker making a two-pointer. Unfortunately, the Lady Cardinals could not catch up to the Amherst Broncos, leaving the final score of the night at 33-47.
