Alma Public School is accepting applications to fill an open seat on the Alma Board of Education. Individuals interested in serving the remainder of a term that will expire in January 2023 can request an application from the Superintendent’s Office or by calling the school at 308-928-2131. Applicants must be a resident, registered legal voter of the Alma Public School District. Applications will be accepted until 4 PM on April 6.

Earlier in the week the FFA had a competition to guess how many items were in a jar. The winning prize was Mrs. Brandyberry’s parking spot for a day. Joel Brown was the man with the answer as he was the closest to the actual number. Way to go Joel! We are so glad you got to park your bike in such a great spot! Enjoy! #PrpudToBeACardinal

The 2nd grade classes hatched 14 baby chicks this week. The UNL Extension Educator, Elena Stout gave them a presentation on embryology. They then placed the eggs into the incubator and checked the temperature and humidity for 21 days. Finally, they got to watch the chicks begin to hatch. It has been a fun learning experience for the class. #ProudToBeACardinal
